Raid 2 Movie Teaser Review: Its been seven years since we saw something very different from what we have seen in Bollywood. A story about an income tax officer Amey Patnaik. The story was so interesting that we overlooked all the flaws of presenting the income tax officer as a big hero! Something that was not convincing but was overlooked! Ajay Devgn is now back with Raid 2!
The teaser of the film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta has been released and it has left us in some suspense. The teaser does not impress as the first film is still very fresh in everyones mind! Of course now Riteish Deshmukh is the villain instead of Saurabh Shukla! But Riteish with just one dialogue and his arrogant behavior wins this teaser!
We are worried about Ajay Devgn and his promises! A dialogue of Amey Patnaik says I am the whole Mahabharata. While this is the main hook of the teaser it becomes the most disappointing part of the teaser! Something is wrong either the dialogue or the dishonesty of the actor. But people didnt like it!
Last time Ajay Devgn promised to make Ramayan with Singham Again and we all know how that turned out. Despite the fact that the promise was fantastic! This time its more like taking a gamble! Last time Ajay Devgn promised to make Ramayan with a lot of people this time he is promising to make Mahabharat alone and that could make the stakes go either way!
At the moment the only bright spot in this teaser is Riteish Deshmukh who impresses in his villainous avatar. And the presence of Saurabh Shukla has raised a little hope. However we think he was only for teasing and might not feature so prominently in the film!
The basic premise of Raid 2 is set. Ameya Patnaik is back for his 75th raid and this time he is looting Riteish Deshmukhs Lanka who appears to be a powerful leader. Hopefully the trailer will paint a more promising picture and I will be less worried about the fact that Vaani Kapoor has been replaced as Amey Patnaiks wife in this movie because I still miss Ileana DCruz!
