Sikandar Move Review: The story of the film revolves around Rajkots king Sanjay (Salman Khan) fondly called Sikandar or Raja Saheb. He clashes with a powerful minister (Satyaraj) whose conspiracy results in the death of his wife Saishri (Rashmika Mandanna). Before dying Saishri donates her organs to three people – lungs to a Dharavi kid eyes to a CA topper and heart to a college girl. The minister tries to break Sanjay by targeting these people but Sanjay vows to protect all of them to save the memory of his wife.
Salman Khans star power but weak story
The film is completely based on Salman Khans stardom. He is seen in the avatar of a big hero – heavy dialogues goons flying in the air and powerful action. However the plot of the film is very simple and full of clichés. This film by director A. Murugadoss has been made to please Salmans fans on the occasion of Eid but the weak story and predictable events disappoint.
Action lacks power music is also weak
The action sequences in the film may be shown on a large scale according to Salmans style but there is nothing new in them. Kevin Kumars action direction is ordinary – just the same slow-motion shots goons flying in the air and loud explosions of vehicles. Santosh Narayans background score is also not very effective due to which the thrill of the film fades.
Salmans acting is brilliant Rashmikas screen time is less
Salman Khan has given a tremendous performance in his charismatic style in the film. His dialogues are over-the-top but definitely give fans a chance to applaud. Rashmika Mandanas role is small in which she does not have much to do. Vatsan Chakraborty is good in the role of a corrupt police officer while Sharman Joshi is a surprise package as Salmans loyal partner and impresses with his strong acting.
Big film but incomplete entertainment
Overall this film is only for Salman Khans fans for the rest of the audience it remains just an average action drama. The weakness of the plot and repetitive action sequences make it an average film. If there was some novelty in the action and some depth in the story then the film could have been much more exciting.
