Samsung has recently launched new smartphones under its Galaxy A-series. Out of these smartphones, Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 were sent to us for review. After using them for a few days, we have brought you our first impressions of both these smartphones. Let’s know what is special in these two smartphones and whether you should buy them.
Design and Looks
Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 are the best looking smartphones in their price segment. Both smartphones have a glass back and are slightly thinner than their previous versions. They have a vertical camera module at the rear. Galaxy A56 has a metal frame, which gives it a premium look. The volume control and power button are given on its right side. Galaxy A36 also has the same design language, but its frame is not made of metal.
Talking about color options, the Galaxy A56 is available in “Awesome Graphite”, “Awesome Lightgray”, “Awesome Olive” and “Awesome Pink” colors. At the same time, the Galaxy A36 comes in “Awesome Black”, “Awesome White”, “Awesome Lavender” and “Awesome Lime” colors. Here the Galaxy A36 looks slightly better than the Galaxy A56 due to its radiant design.
Display and processor
Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which comes with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. The colors look very vibrant on the screens of both smartphones.
Talking about the processor, the Galaxy A56 has an Exynos 1580 chipset, while the Galaxy A36 has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The Galaxy A56 has 8GB and 12GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage options, while the Galaxy A36 has 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage options.
Camera and Battery
The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 have a triple rear camera setup. Both have a 50MP main sensor. The Galaxy A56 has a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP micro sensor, while the Galaxy A36 has an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP micro lens. Both smartphones have a 12MP front camera, which is useful for selfies and video calls.
Talking about the battery, both the smartphones come with a 5,000mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. The battery gives a full day’s backup in a single charge. The camera quality could have been a little better in this price range, but the battery performs very well.
AI features in Galaxy A56
Samsung has talked about providing many AI features in the Galaxy A56. These include features like Object Eraser, Circle to Search, Edit Suggestion, Best Face, Rear Alound, My Filter and Auto Trim. Both smartphones work on Android 15 operating system based on OneUI 7.0. The company has promised to provide software and security updates for these smartphones for 6 years.

The starting price of Galaxy A56 5G in the global market is ₹ 41,999, while the price of Galaxy A36 5G is ₹ 32,999. At these prices, you will also get many bank offers, which can make the purchase of the smartphone more attractive.
Both the Galaxy A56 and A36 smartphones come with good performance and great design. If you want a good display, better battery and AI features, then the Galaxy A56 can be a great option. At the same time, if you are looking for a slightly cheaper option, then the Galaxy A36 also comes with very good features. However, the camera quality could have been a little better, but if you are a normal smartphone user then these phones can prove to be a good option for you.
Both these smartphones have very good battery backup and attractive design. If you want a balanced smartphone according to its price, then both the phones can be good options.
